~ Steps to Kiwiland, New Zealand :: Day4 part 2 - 03/11/2012 ~

Finally, we are quite near to Taupo after a long journey. I guess we are somewhere around Rotorua. However, we are actually lost again, and we decided to ask someone for the direction to Taupo.

 

Again, lucky star is with us today, we went in a thermal park to get direction from the owner (I think she is the owner? Haha.... I'm not sure). She is a nice person, she draw us a map, and invite us to visit her "thermal wonderland". Oh my god! >.< I can't believe we can visit it for free ~~~ How lucky ! ^^

~ Steps to Kiwiland, New Zealand :: Day 4 - 03/11/2012 ~

Today we are leaving Auckland and departing to Taupo ~ The journey to Taupo is quite a long journey, so we had some plan to visit in between :) one of the famous attraction, Hobbiton!

 

However, we lost :( GPS bring us to the home of somebody. Embarrassing!! Luckily the owner did not mad at us and I also able to get some nice pictures from here >.< We missed Hobbiton, but we had some other nice pictures, we are still lucky :) 

 

We are actually in the property of somebody :P

 

Hm.... peaceful road, I guess Hobbiton is somewhere near here......

Luckily I still able to catch you, nice view ^^ Hobbiton, maybe I have to visit you next time.....

 

 

~ Steps to Kiwiland, New Zealand :: Day 3 - 02/11/2012 ~

Today our plan is Waipoua forest. This place is one of the place that I really wish to go! I wish to see Kauri tree - New Zealand's largest and most famous native tree.

 

After read some articles, and stories about these trees, I believe these trees have spirit. Mighty trees ~ I'm coming !! 

 

This is Tane Mahuta – “Lord of the Forest” and spiritual “God of the Forest”. It is estimated to be approximately 2000 years old, can you imagine?! 

 

Listen to the sound of nature.... This "run away from city" trip is worthy.

 

Another Kauri tree that we meet on the way searching for "The Four Sisters".

 

On the way back from Waipoua forest, we found this peaceful road :)

Haha, they are coming back from fishing. Are they able to get any? Good luck to them...

 

 



~ Steps to Kiwiland, New Zealand :: Day 2 - 01/11/2012 ~

Second day in my dream land, it is still like a dream to me. Wake up quite early, as our journey for today is -> Cathedral cove. I am so surprise I could wake up that early, seem like no jet lag at all... haha..... (proud)

Total distance is about 350km to and fro, total hours spent is about 4 hours 22 minutes. Haha, that is only estimate distance and time spent, but ofcorse it is not the exact time we spent on our journey to Cathedral cove :) No doubt, it is an interesting journey...

~ Steps to Kiwiland, New Zealand :: Day 1 - 31/10/2012 ~

Can't believe I finally step into my dream land - Kiwiland, New Zealand. I love this country since I watched the movie "Lord of The Ring" part 1, The fellowship of the ring. I scream like a child when I saw mountain from airplane, and can't wait to see the view, touch, feel the land by my own!
